Paxton Gate PDX

“Martha Stewart meets David Lynch… It’s completely bizarre and completely unique.” ~TimeOut Guides, London
Andy and Susan Brown, the owners of Paxton Gate PDX, are long-time friends of Sean Quigley, the Founder of the original Paxton Gate located in San Francisco, California. On an adventure to begin their own business, the Browns collaborated with Sean to launch Paxton Gate in Portland, Oregon.
Mainly focusing on bringing high quality eclectic home decor inspired by the natural world to the Rose City, Paxton Gate made its debut in Portland on the historic Mississippi Avenue in 2010. It has since then been wonderfully received, becoming an infamous tourist destination, local favorite, and featured on television shows such as Portlandia and Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee to name a couple.
In addition to that, Paxton Gate hosts a wide variety of educational and intriguing events throughout the year. Such as the Insect Safari with Don Ehlen (world class insect collection), The Falconer (live birds of prey) with John Prucich, Insect Pinning Workshops, Taxidermy Workshops and Jewelry and Artist Pop Ups.
To discover these and more, please join our mailing list or follow us on socials @PaxtonGatePDX.
Step into Paxton Gate and you’ll come face-to-face with framed entomology, vintage taxidermy, nature inspired jewelry, minerals, meteorites, fossils, plants (including carnivorous), hand-crafted fine art pieces, and more.
